THE mum of a young boy electrocuted on a railway track made an emotional return to the spot where he was killed.

Stephen Nesbitt was just eight years old when he stepped on a live rail at Oriel Road train station in Bootle.

Paramedics battled to save him but he died on the way to hospital.

Now to remember Stephen, a memorial has been created at the station.

Mum Elaine O’Brien, of Waterloo, went there with her family to see the statue in place.

She said: “I want people in Bootle and everybody who knew him to know the memorial is there.

“And maybe this memorial will bring awareness to other kids about the dangers of the railways as well.â€

Stephen was killed on August 16, 2003.

He was playing with friends and was electrocuted when he tried to cross the tracks.

Since Stephen’s death the station has been rebuilt
never forget u Stephen always in our hearts xxxx

⊱*⊰ You made me smile ⊱*⊰

Today i felt so happy
As i opened my eyes
The sun was shining brightly
In the beautiful blue skies

⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰

I know you came to visit
Still warm from all your love
I put my arms around you
And gave you the biggest hug

⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰

Then you whispered softly
Please dont cry for me
One day we'll be together
Just you wait and see

⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰⊱*⊰

Then before i knew it
You dissapeared without a trace
But what you had just told me
Left a true smile on my face

"Happy Birthday Stephen
It's sure to be the best one yet,
Though you left us here behind.
Did you think that we'd forget?

Your cake this year, will surely be,
A beauty to behold.
With the icing made of Silver,
And the candles made of Gold.

Yes, your birthday in Heaven,
Will be such a grand affair.
And I know you'll look so lovely,
With a halo in your hair.

The Angels will come from everywhere,
To sing your birthday song.
And I know they'll be so happy,
That you've joined, God's Happy Throng.

No I can't send a card this year,
Or give a gift so fine.
So I'll just send a special prayer,
To that wonderful Son of yours.

Luv me n Lydia x x x

A pair of wings and a sparkling halo is a sign of an angle from up above an angle can pass in to heaven so open your wings and follow on up through the gates of heaven

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you
and share with you its beauty
on the days you're feeling blue.

If I could build a mountain
you could call your very own;
a place to find serenity,
A place to be alone.

If I could take your troubles
I would toss them in the sea,
But all these things I'm finding
are impossible for me.

I can't build a mountain
or catch a rainbow fair,
but let me be what I know best,
a friend who's always there.

Im giving you this message & it’s sent from god above
He says that he is with you & he’s sending you his love.
Im to tell you that your loved one is not that far away
She’s waiting up in heaven where you’ll unite again one day.
Do not stop the tears you cry for there sent from god above.
They are not a sign of weakness, but a representation of your love.
Each tear is filled with memories of a time that you both shared
So when a tear runs down your face, gods reminding you they’re there.
That’s why at night when your alone & you toss & turn to sleep
That the pain inside overwhelms your heart & it cuts so hard & deep.
If you stop & look inside your heart, it’s not the pain you bear,
It’s all the good times god let you have & allowed you all to share.
Death is a graduation of life on earth & the memories are the tears.
Each tear represents a moment in time that will last throughout the years.
Now close your eyes & be at peace & know you’ll meet again.
God love’s you so , He wont let go & his grace will never end. R.I.P. Ste x
